Collective Bargaining is the process by which your terms of employment are negotiated with the University of Calgary. It is a long and complicated process whose basic rules are defined in the Alberta labour Relations Code.
In this information session we will go over the entire process (both the legal and practical aspects) of collective bargaining in Alberta, and provide updates and comparisons of the three graduate student groups and where they are in this process. You will learn both the roles and responsibilities of your GLU executive, your bargaining team, and what you can do as an individual to support getting a better collective agreement that is fair to graduate students.
A light dinner will be provided for those that register; please contact [email protected] if you have any dietary restrictions.
