International Student Labour Information Session

This one-hour session is intended for international students who are employed as a Teaching or Research Assistant by the University of Calgary.  In this session, we will go over key points of the Collective Agreement (the document that governs your employment), how unions work and how your union works for you, as well as how federal and provincial laws protect you as workers in Alberta.  We will be paying specific attention to the precarious dynamics that international students face in these settings.  You will also have an opportunity to share your experiences and insights so that the Graduate Labour Union can better support and represent you.
